Zoom Out

Things are not always how they appear to be. This first picture looks serene, peaceful, and organized. The other pictures show the mess on that same desk. It's so easy to zoom in on someone's life and think they have it all or have it altogether. No one does though. Life is insane for everyone in some way.

For example, I took a picture of reading my Bible and I did read. But, I also checked every single time a notification came in on my phone. (Working on that!) My candle says "Serenity & Calm," but I'm not feeling so serene and calm right now knowing we have a few hours of homeschooling ahead and focus is an issue for both of us.

Most people are very unaware of the hell I went through mentally for a few weeks. Yes, I posted a couple things alluding to struggles, but I also posted my gratitudes and funny things Gideon said.

The thing is, the two can coexist. Happiness and sadness. Joy and grief. Peace and chaos.

So, don't look at anyone's life and feel like you are failing. You are not. You are on your own journey. Stay in your path and know that the life you're making is beautiful. If there are areas you want to change, go for it! However, also remember you are priceless, valued, and matter.
